Slow internet speeds on wifi

I've been getting slow internet speeds using wifi recently, Was getting around 4MB down and around 1MB up. But for some reason i can only get around 40KB down on all my downloads and my upload speed stayed the same. Ive reinstalled ubuntu and upgraded the system to latest version and still no joy.

Using 18.04 bionic

I dont have this problem on my windows PC using the same adapter.
